Tallahassee, FL - Florida State has announced a new eight-year contract extension for head football coach Jimbo Fisher. The 49-year-old, who has guided the Seminoles since 2010, is now under contract through the 2022 season. His new deal, announced Tuesday, includes a salary increase which will make him one of the highest-paid coaches in the FBS. Following in the footsteps of the legendary Bobby Bowden, Fisher has racked up a 58-10 overall record which includes a 34-6 mark in the ACC, and has presided over four consecutive bowl victories. The commitment we are making to him is a reflection of the outstanding job he has done in leading our program to its current level of excellence.
