QUITO Marcel Halstenberg WM 2018 Trikot , Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Women's national football teams from Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and Uruguay will open the 7th Copa America women's tournament Thursday in Ecuador.
The tournament, which will take place through Sept. 28, will feature 10 national teams from the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) in matches in seven cities, including the capital Quito, Latacunga Leroy Sane WM 2018 Trikot , Riobamba, Ambato, Loja, Cuenca and Azogues, all in the Andean region.
The opening game between Uruguay and Venezuela will be played at Riobamba's Olympic Stadium, and Ecuador will face Peru later.
The teams are all part of Group A, along with Colombia Sebastian Rudy WM 2018 Trikot , which will play its first game Saturday, against Uruguay.
In Group B, reigning champion Brazil will debut Friday in a game against Bolivia, while Argentina plays Chile.
Paraguay, the fifth member of the group, will play its first game Sunday, against Brazil Marc-Andre ter Stegen WM 2018 Trikot , according to the schedule announced by the Ecuadoran Football Federation (FEF).
The winner and runner up of this year's Copa America qualify for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada, while the third- placed team will get a chance for playoffs.
In addition, the winner of the tournament will qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games
